Faded Black Denim for Fall

Faded Black Denim for Fall

When shopping for black jeans in the past, I was always looking for the most jet black, dark and saturated (wash wise) pair I could find. I mean, it’s fair to say that’s a fundamental piece for anyone’s closet, and I do own a pair or two of those. However, I always end up saving those only for special occasions for fear of washing them and having them fade. Now, I know I have posted in the past about some pretty awesome fadeless black jeans from brands such as Level 99 and DSTLD in the past, but I haven’t owned any of those yet and still was afraid to wash the nice black pairs I have and love.

After reviewing a pair of faded black jeans from Level 99, as well as this pair from Kill City, though, I kind of grew into the faded black look, and I’ve always been a fan of dark grey jeans (specifically skinny). It wasn’t until this Fall though, when I started to notice an emergence of jeans with similar washes as a new trend this season. I’m hooked! I recently grabbed a pair of Levi’s® 710 Super Skinny in Dark Steel as seen above, and they are now one of my absolute favorite jeans in my closet, apart from their amazing fit! I know they are a bit more on the grey side, but they definitely have more of a faded black look, especially in the back. I now have a strong taste for any jean that looks like they were once a jet black, but worn and loved (and washed) for many years, especially in the vintage realm. Here are some other favorites below that I am currently craving!
