I gotta say, when I first saw this new collection from Revolve, I wasn’t too keen. I don’t really like gingham all that much due to, you know, that “farmer’s daughter” look. Usually pieces with this popular print are frilly and a bit too girly for me, but once I gave a closer look, I spotted a few things I might actually wear. I do like checkered type patterns, especially with flannel tops, and as you probably know by now, I feel if it’s black it’s always better. So, I figured hey, maybe I’ll make a post that’s about something I don’t normally like, and explore its possibilities. That’s part of the reason why I thought starting a blog would be a fun idea to begin with, way back when!
I always like larger gingham/checkered prints, because I’m a fan of colorblocking. It always gives a more calm, modern, and minimalist look for me. The Bettinis Strappy Halter Tie Top is all kinds of cute (in my terms), and I actually love the Marissa Webb Denise Gingham Blouse! The cut on its own is unique and caught my eye quickly. Since I mentioned flannel tops, I’d definitely wear the Sanctuary Steady Boyfriend Button Up and the Theory Ralfinn Button Up, a shorter sleeved version. These are all perfect for summer soirees, vacations, beach days, wine tasting excursions or anywhere else the upcoming warmer months might take you. Here are all my favorite black and white gingham styles from Revolve’s latest edit!
Revolve’s gingham edit included other colors such as yellow, light blue, and navy, as well as other styles which were more on the girly side. There are also a few bags and other accessories available! If that’s your thing, shop the entire edit here.
