Going Trippy with Mara Hoffman
Trippy indeed…and I love it. Normally when looking at the marvelous creations of a designer, I feel like every piece looks good together, complimenting each other as a collection, and I couldn’t possibly pick just one out from the rest…at least not easily. However, as awesome as these all look together, they definitely have their own, individual appeal! I love Mara Hoffman‘s work, and I love tribal designs, and COLORS. They are all statements on their own. I think Shopbop styled these models right, with minimal accessories, if any at all. What also impresses me is how Mara Hoffman doesn’t seem to have just one style of maxi dress across all prints, but each dress has a different cut and style. My favorite is definitely the Divine Cutout Maxi above in the dark-skinned model…and being dark-skinned myself makes me pine for it a little more, seeing as how amazing it looks on her! I also don’t understand how you’d wear a bra in most maxi dresses out there, but this one looks decently supportive on its own.
Mara Hoffman‘s prints span across dresses, bikinis and rash guards, skirts, tops and bags, as seen below. I’d definitely carry these around to a beach or pool party. So pretty, and so roomy! Bikinis and bags are like shoes, it seems you never can have enough. Actually, that’s my “problem” with denim…but hey, Denimology came to the rescue, so it’s not technically a problem anymore, is it?
