Mavi Adriana Indigo Move Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str Review

Mavi Adriana Indigo Move Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str Review - Side View

I just can’t get enough of comfy, stretchy, legging-like skinny jeans! It’s been fascinating seeing the denim market’s response to the rapid rise of athleisure and the popularity of wearing leggings as pants. The development of new fabric technologies has been on overdrive in the past few years, and jeans have never been so comfortable. Brands are coming out with denim that isn’t just stretchy, but also super soft, curve-hugging (with enough give to avoid being tight) and the amazing ability to snap back and keep its shape. A little while ago I wrote about another great line of jeans for active individuals, from Mavi. Their Indigo Move collection is one of the newest ones to make waves in the denim vs athleisure movement, and I’m stoked to be able to try on a pair to share it with all of you!

As mentioned in my past post, Mavi’s Indigo Move pieces are constructed with two innovative fabrics: Move Denim is the key fabric that defines the collection, made with a knit-based fabrication with the same high quality, look and feel as regular denim. The Bi-Stretch denim element implements multi-way stretch for freedom of movement and supreme comfort without losing its shape. I was also excited to hear that AG’s own Adriano Goldshmied (for those that don’t know, he’s kind of a big deal in the denim industry) teamed up with Mavi to develop Indigo Move, so you know you’re going to get a quality piece when shopping this line!

Mavi Adriana Indigo Move Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str Review - Hanging on Bars

I was sent the Adriana IM Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str. I’m serious here, these are so luxurious! They feel like a second skin, and stretched out to fit me in all the right places when I slid into them. I went with my usual size of 26 which is great, because most of the time with jeans this stretchy I have to size down. They definitely do not feel like jeans, and I can move around enough in them that I could totally do yoga in them. As you can see, I had quite a bit of fun jumping around in them at a local park. I could just as easily wear them to bed! However, despite their stretchiness and softness, they feel sturdy and durable. I wore them several days in a row for a week (I still can’t get enough of them), and they have not lost their shape.

Mavi Adriana Indigo Move Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str Review - Dancing

These jeans are mid rise at 8.5”, and sit comfortably over my hips without falling or moving around throughout the day. I have an athletic shape that can be tough with jeans…although I conveniently fit in most jeans, I often have trouble with them starting to shift down a bit over several hours of walking around in them. That is not a problem with these! I also love that they fit like a true skinny or gym legging at an 11” leg opening. I am 5’6” and they hit below my ankle with a 32” inseam, even though they hit above the ankle on the model and look a bit more like a straight leg on Mavi’s website. They look cool cuffed up too, with a blackish underside for a cool bit of contrast.

Mavi Adriana Indigo Move Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str Review - Leaping Right

The Adriana IM Super Skinny in Deep Bi-Str is an easy-to-style jean. The deep blue color is almost solid, with just a slight, almost hard-to-see fade on the thighs. The detailing is on point, staying simple and minimal with the branding for a nice, clean look. They don’t look too much like leggings to anyone who isn’t aware, and although I’ve been wearing them super casually, they’d make an excellent, sleek and flattering jean to wear out on the town while being comfortable and secure enough to dance in all night long in. I definitely recommend these, I promise once you put them on, you won’t want to take them off!
