Printed Jeans with Level99
Printed jeans always seem to be on-trend, especially in the springtime with jeans splattered with flowers and other bright motifs…but there’s something about patterns that just make me think of a grandma’s living room drapes or an antique sofa. I love modern designs, which usually consist of minimal, block colors with nothing distracting. I find that rather relaxing and it’s just way, way easier to style. The last thing I care to do after coming home from a busy day at work is come home to a living room full of noisy, ornate designs everywhere. Just my two cents…I like subtlety. My mind is already hyperactive as it is.
Most printed jeans seem to cute to me too…I’m not all that girly, per se. I love boldness too, but most also seem to have a bold, in-your-face pattern that I’d only wear to a party or similar event. While browsing around denim brand Level99‘s site (I’ve had my eyes on them for some time now, them being a huge new celebrity favorite and getting a lot of press in the denim world lately..I wanted to see what all the hubbub was about!), I noticed they had a few printed jeans on sale and I instantly fell in love with a printed pair of their Janice Ultra Skinnies, in the Moon print, and decided to have a go at the trend. I LOVE how it’s a very faded, flowery print (which I never thought I’d like) on top of a washed-out grey. It’s beautiful! The brand states that it was printed over black, and washed out to the grey it appears in. Awesome! I really dig these…and not only that, but I can see why the brand is so popular—the fit is incredible and it’s one of the SOFTEST pairs I own! The 44% Lyocell / 33% Cotton / 14% Rayon / 7% Polyester / 2% Spandex blend gives it an incredible stretch. I want more.
I’m currently talking to a PR rep for the brand and will be doing a review for Denimology soon!
