MIA & MOSS Sabine Skinny in Indigo Review on Denimology

I’ve reviewed a lot of skinny jeans for Denimology…because they never get old, especially with the warmer summer months upon us! Of course, as we all know, skinny jeans work very well in the fall and winter months too, tucked into some tall boots or worn with a long sweater or tunic. One of the washes that I really like a lot for that time of the year when it comes to skinny jeans is an all-out flat rinse wash, with no fading or whiskering. My guess is because we are already wearing a lot along with them in order to stay warm, so the sleeker look that a dark rinse wash gives helps balance the bulk! However, a nice dark wash works any time you want to go out and hit the town for dinner or drinks, so I wear them all year ’round. MIA & MOSS Hyde High Rise Skinny in Dark Blue on Denimology

How many of you have noticed the growing trend in high-rise jeans? I guess we can’t really miss it…especially with festival season upon us and high rise shorts in all of the hip store windows. It wasn’t long ago that anything higher than low rise was thrown into the “mom jeans” category and immediately shunned. However, every body is different, and it seems as society has become more and more body conscious and accepting of the fact that we don’t all come in one size and shape, there is a much wider variety of rises in the land of denim. Personally, I have yet to appreciate the allure of the high-waisted shorts, but when it comes to jeans, I definitely have seen the light! MIA & MOSS Camden Crop Skinny in Medium Blue on Denimology

For those who have read my previous reviews, you know how I’ve always felt about cropped jeans. I always thought they only looked best on tall, svelte models. I’m more muscular and athletic, so I always felt like cropped jeans did nothing for me but shorten my legs in a not-so-flattering way. Lately though, I’ve been thinking differently with a lot of the great cropped jeans I’ve had a chance to review lately (and the ever-warming California weather gets a little credit too)! Cropped jeans are the typical summer staple for most denim fans, allowing you to show off your manicure and cute new sandals, and to stay a little cooler or wade around at the beach. I think I’ve fallen just a little bit more for the cropped jean trend, with this MIA & MOSS Camden Crop Skinny in Medium Blue review!

MIA & MOSS Sabine Skinny in Grey Review on Denimology

I remember when grey jeans really hit the Hollywood scene hard several years ago, and it didn’t take much for them to stay! There are so many beautiful traditional denim washes out there but I think grey is just as pretty and versatile, and thus deserve a spot in your closet as a fashion staple. Grey jeans work with just about anything too, being more neutral, so I think they work so well in the summer to allow you to wear a wider range of bright, sunny colors up top (including blue), much like a nice basic white jean would!
