Plan Out Your Life with Passion Planner

So this post, I think, isn’t only a little different in terms of the product I’m presenting here, but rather more of the fact that it will express more of my personal feelings as well. For those that don’t know, I work full time for a company doing web development and social media marketing. Although I love it, and feel lucky to be in a field that I enjoy, it still feels like the older I get, the tougher and tougher it is to hold on to the personal pleasures and goals that I hold so dear! I can’t complain much, as much of my time is spent doing those things…I DJ from time to time (am trying to get into producing and advancing this passion as time allows), run this blog, write for Denimology, live out my obsession with fitness, and own a cat. This blog is barely even a year old, and it is the most recent thing I inserted into my life to solidify a hold on something I could keep doing for myself. But of course, as life gets more convoluted and busy, it’s still sometimes a challenge to keep it up! I know I’m not the only one who feels like as time moves on (and seemingly speeds up in the process), it gets tougher and tougher to maintain a sense of self and keep a focus on your personal goals. That so-called “work-life balance” seems to become more and more elusive, as you feel more and more like everything you do is to satisfy others, and the importance of self becomes diminished. It’s important for your well being to retain a strong sense of self, and hold strong to your personal goals…otherwise we become nothing more than mindless drones of society. Doesn’t it feel frustrating? A friend of mine recently presented to me a pretty neat little solution though. Meet the Passion Planner, “an all-in-one weekly appointment calendar, journal, goal setting guide, to-do list, and gratitude log integrated in one planner.” As your “24/7, inexpensive life coach,” the Passion Planner is to help you (as stated on the website):

  • Define your ideal life and get there: Define your ideal life AND then create your own a step by step map to get you there with the Passion Planning Process
  • Balance: Space for both personal and work projects and tasks
  • Prioritize: Prompts you to pick one thing every day, week and month to focus on
  • Focus on the positive: Every week there is a section dedicated just to write down “Good things that happened”

This actually started as a Kickstarter campaign! As you might know, I love highlighting Kickstarters, because every great idea stands a chance among this already competitive market!

It features (also as stated on the website):

  • Goal setting guide: It’s like having your bucket list always with you to remind you of what you want do in your life
  • Weekly appointment calendar: Set appointments, spread out your time between tasks, and keep track of how your time is spent
  • Prioritized Personal AND Work To-Do lists: Stay balanced by making sure you are dedicating time and energy to work and most importantly your own dreams
  • Journal: Reflect on what happened, jot down notes, and draw in the blank and lined pages. The possibilities are endless!
