The Blank NYC Stick Shift in Junk Yard
Aaaaand my love for printed jeans continues. How did I become this obsessed? I got an email from one of my favorite retailers, Pink Mascara, promoting a few styles I might like (ugh, so bittersweet…), and my eyes locked on this beautiful pair that was featured, the Blank NYC Stick Shift in Junk Yard, on sale for just $26 (down from $88). The only other purchase I’ve made from Pink Mascara was the much more toned down AG Stilt in 6 Years Dive for a can’t-resist deal last year…how did they know this would snag me in again? I should know this by now…I work in marketing, yet it still gets me every time. Anyway, this was another can’t-resist sale deal, and I absolutely love these! One thing about Blank NYC is that they are one of the most active denim brands out there, constantly re-inventing the wheel and coming out with eye catching new looks, and yet they are at a much lower price point than its premium counterparts. For the value, they can’t be beat (well, I think American Eagle is a pretty good contender in that regard. That’s where I got the orange burnout tank shown in these photos).
Unfortunately, this pretty pair is just about sold out…you’re still in luck though if you are a petite size 24. However, blank tends to run small. I went one size up to a 27 in these. They were snug at first and stretched in all the right places to fit comfortably without bagging or needing a belt. They are a mid-rise at 8″ and hit the ankles at a 27.5 inseam. I just love how they sit on my hips! Just ever-so-slightly relaxed without looking like a slouchy skinny, and they stay put. Also, they are so soft! They are just too much fun, and I’ll get a lot more great wears out of them.
