Last Minute Gifts

I’m not one to follow my other fellow bloggers closely, as one thing I have not really done yet is offer lists of sales or gift ideas. However, I’ve been seeing a lot of random awesomeness lately just in time for the holiday season, so I figured it was appropriate to share them all in a post! I love gifts, whether they are wearable, buildable, edible…you name it. If it’s creative or unique, I’m all ears! A lot of these were discovered through newsletters or other lists (thanks Refinery29!), but many I just stumbled across and they’ve remained a browser tab until I could figure out what to do with them. I already know and love many of these shops…A+R Store, Fab.com and Shopbop, but I had fun discovering others as well, like Moma Store. I know most of us are scrambling for that last minute idea for the family members and friends that are tough to shop for (or, lets face us, most of us procrastinate), so lets get right to it! I hope you enjoy some of these as much as I do!

These remind me of the now-continued Bucky Balls…but these can’t easily be swallowed by a munchkin that might be running around your house. And, they may not allow your fingers to tire so quickly due to the larger size.

This magnetic wall clock reminds me of my childhood days…anything magnetic was easy to get creative with. Also, who didn’t have those magnetic letters on the fridge?

This cracked iPhone case made me laugh…since most people I know with iPhones have cracked screens. This is a hilarious take on it…but it’s a crack made pretty with rainbow colors!

Coal candy…just clever…comes in a little bag, too. Not much more to say here.

I’m sure we’ve all wondered if somewhere, out there, there was a solution to our first world, cold-beer winter problems because a typical mitten just wouldn’t do…

The modern boombox?

For the Typography nerds among us…like me. I saw these also in magenta, black and yellow.

Better than iron-ons, these probably look more professional and don’t wear or get so crackly, since it’s a dye rather than a paint that sits on top of the fabric! From Fab: “Just convert your favorite image into a negative, and print it on inkjet film. Then apply it to a natural textile like a cotton tee using a special light-sensitive textile dye. Wash away the unexposed dye with the specially developed Inkowash detergent, and model your own clothing designs as often as your little heart desires.” Fun stuff.

This is just one of those cute little gifts that I like for the hell of it. I like anything diamond shaped…and it reminds me of those pretty transparent glass paperweights. Except, this one has more of a purpose.

Just cool…this clock has a minimalist, simple design with a geometric appeal.

Just like the fabric printing kit above, this one will suit your customization tastes. There’s a barrage of things out there you can apply your own photos to, but this one was just too cute and fun to not share.

A trash bin that looks like crumpled up paper. Genius. Also comes in black and red!

I love these…slippers that look like sleeping bags, complete with a drawstring. These are on the men’s side, but I’m sure they could be unisex too. I’d wear them while out camping!
