Monotone Grey and a Pop of Magenta

You might have seen my Citizens of Humanity Avedon in Chromatic review for Denimology lately, and I still just cannot get enough of these jeans. Not only are they just perfectly soft, almost corduroy-like, but I can’t get over that color! It’s neutral, but has a slight hint of a bluish character. I like a lot of contrast in my outfits, so I often try to wear at least one colorful item and a black item together, but that’s usually when I’ve got a standard pair of blue jeans on. With grey jeans, or black jeans, there will always be a colorful top accompanying them! I had these images shot outside of work recently, on a day that I tried out something new…wearing two shades of grey. I’m actually surprised how it worked. I wore my American Eagle Outfitters Boyfriend Cardigan in a magenta shade to offset the monotone look, but the aptly-named Chromatic wash of these jeans was perfect enough to make it look anything but flat! The top I grabbed not long ago on an Old Navy clearance rack (the perfect place to find cheap gems from time to time). My heels are my go-to work shoes, and are a pair of navy Nine West Beautie pumps I found on Hautelook.
