Old Navy Brings 2-Way Stretch With the Pixie Pant
You’ll rarely see me wearing non-denim pants. I’m not against them, I just always prefer the way jeans are designed to hug curves and just fit in all the right places. They seem to incorporate more fit technology for specific body types and I’ve generally found regular pants to be too cookie cutter (except for Blank NYC‘s cargo pant that came out a few years ago…but does that count? Coming from a denim company? Ah whatever). Fortunately my work environments have always been jean-friendly so I’ve never really had to worry about finding dress slacks or anything of the like. I’m too loyal to my beloved jean collection.
The last pair of non-jean pants I found came from Old Navy, purchased with a gift certificate I got from a family member on Christmas. I love the occasional Old Navy shopping trip! They’ve always impressed me with their price-to-quality ratio. Nothing I’ve ever gotten from that store has worn out yet. I had been eyeing a pair of Old Navy’s Rockstar Zip-Pocket Pants in Alpine Tundra for several weeks so I made a beeline for those, even though I wasn’t initially impressed with Old Navy’s jeans. While the fit isn’t really that close to my higher-end jeans, they are still a nice pant and I dug them. They did stretch out a bit but not enough to be saggy or anything…they are just a looser, comfortable fit (Plus there’s something about an olive green color that always catches my eye). That seems to be the case with most pants for me…they never really have enough stretch to hug my curves, and they stretch out or hang loosely and never really retain their shape.
